Support Details

Puppies

Puppy support is for dogs up to 4 months old. Puppy support is recommended before your puppy arrives or soon after. The support provides you with education in dog training, dog communication, and behavior modification so that you will have the skills to help your puppy grow with confidence, navigate challenges, and form a lasting and durable bond.

Adult Dogs

Adult dog support is for dogs older than 4 months. Adult dog support is recommended for any point in time that you have questions about your dog's behavior, want to work on modifying unwanted behavior, or are interested in strengthening the bond between you and your dog.

Support is helpful prior to bringing home a new dog, all the way through your dog's lifespan. Gain knowledge in dog training, dog communication, and behavior modification so that you will have the skills to help your dog grow their confidence, navigate challenges, know when and how to advocate for your dog, identify unsafe situations and navigate through them, form a lasting and durable bond with your dog, or repair a relationship that suffers from a lack of trust.

Senior Dogs

Senior dog support is geared towards dogs whose age or health may be impacting their ability to engage in activities that they used to enjoy. Learn how to keep older dogs comfortable and engaged through modifications to their environment, and physical and mental enrichment tailored to both their ability and their preferences. Grow your knowledge of dog training, dog communication, and behavior modification so that you will have the skills to identify and understand changes in your dog's behavior as they age, and the best ways to keep your older dog happy, and physically and mentally active.

Dogs, Babies & Toddlers

Dogs, babies and toddler support helps families with dogs prepare for life with babies and toddlers. This support is geared towards expectant families, families who are adopting, and families that want support in managing households that include dogs and very young children. As a licensed Family Paws Parent Educator, I have specialized training in dog and baby/toddler dynamics, and expertise in helping families with children and dogs live safely together.

Expectant Parent

For many couples, a dog is their first baby. When a human baby is on the way, it’s natural to feel a mix of excitement and anxiety about the changes ahead. You might wonder: How do I handle the first introduction? Will my dog feel pushed aside? How do I ensure everyone stays safe? I will help you turn those questions into a clear plan. Training covers the best practices for safety and preparation, giving you the peace of mind to focus on your growing family.

Child and Dog Conflict

It’s a heartbreaking position to be in: loving your dog, yet feeling a sense of worry every time they are in the same room as your child. Whether you’ve experienced a growl, a snap, or even a bite, the resulting "management fatigue" can make you feel like your dog would be better off in a different home. You don’t have to make that decision in a vacuum. My personalized in-home or virtual coaching is designed to move your family from a state of high alert to one of peace. I provide practical, non-judgmental strategies tailored to your home’s unique layout and your family’s specific routine, prioritizing safety above all else.

Support across the lifespan, and for the whole family.

Whether working together in person or virtually, the goal is the same: to help dogs and humans gain confidence, resiliency, skills, knowledge, and build a solid relationship of trust, for puppies, adult and senior dogs, and for growing families.
